I wanted to follow up from a post I wrote on a forum about a year ago. I was having
severe acne. The stuff from the dermatologist helped, but I could stay on it
forever and it wasn’t a permanent cure for acne. When I stopped the pills/creams,
the acne came back. I tried a different approach and the acne is pretty much
gone and has been since the summer; (I get a few pimples here and there, but nothing big).
The solution was 1 of these 2 things:
1) I avoided dairy for 6 months. There’s no doubt I was allergic to dairy and
it’s said if you avoid the allergan for a certain period (6 months is what I
went with), then your body re-conditions itself and accepts it.
2) I tried EFT, which is also known as acupressure, acupuncture without needles,
and several other names. I went to a specialist that gave me a complete allergy
testing and we treated the things I was allergic to. Later I found a way to do
it on my own and I went through all the foods I eat and ‘tapped’ on each of
them. Sounds silly, but all I can say is the results speak for themselves.
Is it possible the acne just went away and has nothing to do with the above two
things? Maybe, but I really doubt it. It was super bad for 14 months until I did
the above 2 things. But since I did them at the same time, I can’t say which
was the cure. My best guess is it was the second. Yes it requires an effort to
do this. But when your last option is Accutane (as my determotologist
suggested), you have to really think about natural remedies. Shame on him for
not at least mentioning the above as something to look into!!! It was the
response I got from the email below on this board that led me down this path.
And then I recalled something similar a friend in high school experienced.
I don’t know what percentage of people can benefit from this cure for acne, but
worth looking into if you’ve tried everthing else.
